A beautiful solid Rosewood Tunbridge ware jewellery box. It has a picture of Warwick Castle to the centre in Tunbridge ware, edged with a mosaic Tunbridge ware pattern. The fitted interior has an original correspondence pouch in the lid with ruched silk and gilt decoration and brass and mother of pearl clasp. There is a new lift-out tray with 4 silk covered lidded compartments and 8 open. Below the tray is a large compartment ideal for larger pieces of jewellery for example.Working lock and key.
